Treatment packages acknowledge that healing rarely happens in a single appointment. They are designed to include the initial appointment and a few follow ups so that the herbs have time to work and new habits have time to form. By offering a single price which covers both herbs and consultations the patient won't be hit with any unexpected bills and it won't affect their ability to attend. I have found this new way of practising gets me better patient compliance and success than anything I've tried before.

My name is Natasha and I've have been a medical herbalist since 2010. I graduated from Lincoln University with a business plan for a herbal shop in my back pocket but little did I know that I'd never use that business plan.
My business continues to evolve as I change as a person and herbalist. Since then I've had a blog, run workshops and webinars, created many websites (including the new NIMH one), a podcast, a youtube channel and I've dabbled in all the major social media companies. Instagram is by far my favourite, pulling on photography skills I never got to pursue when I was at school.
The competencies I have acquired to "sell my services" are largely self-taught from blogs, podcasts, websites and the occasional paid course. I've found that while the marketing advice you get is usually the same, what actually works for you will be very individual! Sort of like the prescriptions you make for your patients really. n=1!
I don't claim to be an expert in this area but I have a few years experience of trying what's recommend on the web and this is what I've discovered works and doesn't work for herbalists.
